Overview
I built BalanceFlow to make everyday money decisions easier to see. The live web app lets people plan a monthly budget, record income and expenses, and compare planned amounts with actual spending by category. It also brings savings, debts and goals together in a mobile-friendly space.
The Problem
I wanted a better, clearer way to manage personal finances. Existing apps were either too simple or too complex. I needed something in between.
The Solution
A mobile-first app with secure accounts, monthly overviews, income tracking, savings pots, debts, financial goals, and carry-forward balances — all connected with automatic calculations.
My Role
Designer and builder — defining the structure, features, and calculations.
Lessons Learned
Personal finance is deeply personal. The app needs to feel simple and trustworthy. I'm learning about secure authentication, data modeling, and mobile-first design.
